The
students of Robotics Club of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya visited HP Orthocare
Hospital Jalandhar to explore their Robotics Department. This department
specializes in hip and knee replacement surgeries. Incharge Robotics Club Dr.
Ravinder Mohan Jindal told that this field visit aimed to provide hands-on
experience and insight into the latest robotic technology in orthopedic care.
The head of Robotic Department of HP Orthocare Hospital Dr. Soneet Aggarwal,
himself is a specialist in hip and knee replacement surgeries. He told the
students that the robotic arm is designed to perform surgeries with precision
and accuracy reducing recovery time and scarring. The students learnt about
robotic technology and gained experience with the robotic arm and its
applications in orthopedic care. The students also observed knee replacement
surgery using the robotic arm. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen
congratulated Robotic Club and said that the aim of robotic club is to make the
students witness the latest advancements in robotic technology and its
applications in orthopedic care. Head of Department Dr. Sangeeta Arora also
congratulated the students. On this occasion, Ms. Chetna also accompanied the
students.

PG Department of Multimedia of HMV Organized a Photowalk
PG Department
of Multimedia of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya Jalandhar recently organized a
photowalk to the Jung-e-Azadi Memorial, Kartarpur. This educational excursion
aimed to provide our students with a unique opportunity to explore and capture
the historical significance of our country and architectural marvels. Principal
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen extended
her heartfelt congratulations to the department for their commendable efforts
in organizing such an insightful and engaging activity. Led by Mr. Ashish
Chadha, Head of the Multimedia Department, along with faculty members Ms.
Sonali Beri and Ms. Prabhjit Kaur, the photowalk was a resounding success. The
students had the chance to immerse themselves in the rich heritage and cultural
heritage of the memorial, further enriching their academic experience. We
believe that experiences like these play a pivotal role in fostering a deeper
understanding and appreciation for our cultural heritage among our students.

HMV Students Visited KBC as Audience
The Tour and Excursion Committee of
Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized a trip to Mumbai under the able
guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. 15 students of HMV visited
“Kaun Banega Crorepati” show along with incharge Dr. Veena Arora, Ms. Sonali,
Ms. Heena Dhir and Dr. Gagandeep. The group attended shooting of KBC as
audience and met Mahanayak Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. They presented a Pencil Sketch
of Mr. Bachchan to him made by Fine Arts Department of the college. Mr.
Bachchan liked it so much and directed KBC team to send the sketch at his home.
The group had a great time with Mr. Bachchan during interaction with him. Apart
from KBC the group also visited Siddhi Vinayak Temple, Haji Ali Dargah and Juhu
Beach during their trip. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated
the team members for the trip and meeting Mr. Bachchan. She said that such breaks
from daily routine are really important for making ourselves fresh and motivated.

Market Survey conducted by Budding Entrepreneurs of Design Department of HMV
Department
of Bachelor of Design of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya conducted a Market
Survey with Fashion and Textile Designing budding entrepreneurs in local
Jalandhar market. Survey was done in which students visited wholesalers,
distributors, producers and interviewed the consumers of Fashion products,
accessories and construction materials, along with faculty member Mrs. Gurdeep
kaur and Ms. Ritika. Students got knowledge of different Sustainable Fabrics,
Prints, Fashion Trends, Recycled Accessories, etc. Local fabrics market Rainak
Bazaar, Sheikhan Bazaar, Meena Bazaar and famous stores Bee Kay Textile,
Fashion Hut, Kids Camp Store were covered. Students interacted with consumers,
shopkeepers and sales persons who explained about latest trends and fabric
utilization in various fashion world. Information was very helpful for the
students to understand current scenario of the fashion world. Students
discussed positive and negative aspects with the Faculty, experts, craftsmen
and with the consumer which is very helpful for students to work on their
projects. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of the
department and said that giving exposure to the students is very important. She
apprised the efforts of Head of Department Dr. Rakhi Mehta.

Fine Arts Students of HMV Visited Jang-e-Azadi
The students
of Fine Arts Department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya visited Jang-e-Azadi
Kartarpur on a one day educational trip. Total 39 students of BFA (Sem I, III,
V, VII) and BA (Sem I, III) along with Head of Department Dr. Neeru Bharti Sharma,
Ms. Twinkle and Ms. Chahat visited there. Students did outdoor sketching with
full enthusiasm. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of
the department.

HMV Conducted a Market Survey for Interior Design Specialization Students
Bachelor of Design Department of Hans
Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalya conducted a market survey with Interior Design
Specialization Students. Students visited to local Market Producers, Dealers
and Wholesalers along with Faculty Member Ms Harpreet Kaur. Students
interacted, interviewed and analyzed interior design Materials Like Marbles,
Granite, Tiles, PVC sheets, HPL sheets, Artificial Grass and Glass. Renowned
Dealers, Suppliers and Manufacturers were visited during the survey like Cheap
Matting House PVT Ltd,Kwality Glass
& Plywood Store, Arena Interior and Exterior.Students got Information
About Granite designs, Handmade Marble Types, latest designs of wallpapers, UV
sheets, 3D Highlighting wall, PVC panels, HPL sheets,toughen glass, security
Glass, Crystal Glass and Acid wash Glass, Mosaic tile sheets and embossed customized
wallpaper with price details. Information was very fruitful for students to
understand currents design possibilities of market in Interior world. Principal
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that the students should have knowledge
through knowledge about the materials available in the market only then they
will be able to create new designs.

Wall Painting at GSSS, Karari by Students of HMV
The Department of Fine
Arts created 6 wall paintings
(10x10feet) at Govt. Smart School, Karai at their outside wall. The Students of BFA- 2, 4, 6 and 8th Sem Kanishka, Tavleen Kaur, Megha, Bhavya, Saumya, Bhawna completed this task.
They did great effort and hard work for making wonderful wall paintings.

Students of HMV Visited Synergy Pathology Lab
Under
the able guidance of Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Mrs. Ajay Sareen, students of Hans
Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, B.Sc. (Med.) III along with Dr. Sakshi
Verma, visited Synergy Pathology Lab., Jalandhar. The objective of the visit
was to provide students with the practical knowledge related to various
techniques and instruments used in Medical Laboratory Technology. Dr. Seema
Marwaha, Head of Zoology Department motivated the students to enthusiastically
participate in the Lab. visit and instructed them to make a project report of
the same. Dr. Deeksha Choudhary (M.D Pathology) Director, Synergy Lab., gave an
introductory talk to the students and explained various Lab. safety rules,
techniques of collection, handling and storage of blood and other samples,
precautions to be taken while collecting and processing of samples and proper
disposal of bio-waste. The laboratory staff guided the students through a Lab.
tour starting from the Registration counter, sample collection Lab., Hematology
Lab., Microbiology Lab. and Histopathology Lab.
Students learnt about the working and application of different automated
instruments for blood testing and received firsthand experience of the working
of a Pathology Lab. Dr. Sakshi Verma presented a planter and acknowledged Dr. Deeksha
Choudhary and her team members for giving their valuable time.

HMV Organised 3 Days Educational Cum excursion Trip to Delhi
PG Department of Fashion Designing of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya,
Jalandhar organised a three days education cum
excursion trip to Delhi. The trip proved to be very educative and
entertaining for the students. On the first day students were taken to Shahpur
Jaat, which is a hub of Fashion Designers, which was followed by a visit to
Delhi Haat. There was Bihar Utsav going on in Delhi Haat. The students learnt
about the traditional art and craft of various states especially Bihar. After
lunch the students went to National Arts Museum. Next Day, the students were
taken to Gurudwara, Shri Bangla Sahib, National Crafts Museum and finally came
to Sarojini Nagar Market for Shopping and Market Survey. Students also visited
India gate and visited Gurudwara Majnu Ka Tilla too. The Trip was accompained
by Mrs. Navneeta, Incharge, Ms. Deepika Miglani, Dr. Shailendra and Mr.
Jitender Throat. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen told the students about
the importance of such trips during student life. She said that it is a great learning
experience for students to go on such field trips.

PG department of Economics of HMV organized one day educational trip to ORGANIC FARMING and JANG-E-AZADI Memorial and Museum
A group of 41 students visited the
venue accompanied by Head of Economics Department Dr. Shallu Batra, Ms. Bhawna
and Ms. Rinku. In the beginning, Mr. Tejbir Singh, Punjab Agriculture Research
Centre, throw a light on the benefits of integrated and modern framing. He took
the students around the farm and explained about the multi cultivation methods.
Mr. Singh addressed the students and detailed about agriculture farming
techniques such as use of green manure, crop rotation, compost and biological
pest control. In JANG-E-AZADI memorial and museum, students were given round of
the memorial and were shown models, statues, timeline movies, murals and
presentations depicting various facts of the freedom struggles of India and
also the role played by the Punjab state in the freedom struggle. The main
events of Independence movement were also organized chronologically which were
keenly observed by the students. The young Historians took keen interest and
noted down the main highlights of the memorial. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay
Sareen said that such visits are must for any stream as these trips enrich
learning experiences and leave a lasting impression on the minds of the
students. She further emphasised that educational trips give chance to the
students to built strong bond with their classmates and to experience new
environment she appreciated the efforts of Dr. Shallu Batra for organizing this
trip.

Psychology Department of HMV organised a trip to Amritsar
Under the able guidance of Principal
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, the PG Department of Psychology, Hans Raj Mahila
Maha Vidyalaya organised a trip to Amritsar. A contingent of 24 students along
with 3 faculty members, Dr. Ashmeen Kaur, Ms. Niharika Mazumdar and Ms.
Harpreet Kaur visited Amritsar. Trip was coordinated by Dr. Ashmeen Kaur. It
was a one day trip and three places (Golden temple, Jalianwala Bagh and Gobindgarh
fort) were visited. Firstly, students and teachers paid obeisance at Darbar
Sahib where they spent peaceful time in spiritual environment. Afterwards,
contingent visited Jalianwala Bagh, where students got an opportunity to know
about the history of massacre whose horrifying memories are still alive in the
minds of people. After Jalianwala Bagh, they visited Gobindgarh fort where they
came to know about the heritage fort of Punjab. Students were shown 7-d show
based on the life of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Students
were also made to analyse the psychological determinants behind the sacrifices.
Students also had lunch in the fort. Students clicked photographs at all the
places. It was wonderful trip and all had great fun. It was good experience overall. Efforts of all the faculty members
and students, made
this trip a great and memorable experience.

DD Pant Botanical Society of HMV Organized Nature Study Camp
Department of Botany and DD Pant
Botanical Society of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organizd a Nature Study
Camp under Environment Education Programme with the support of Punjab State
Council for Science and Technology as the State Nodal Agency and Ministry of
Environment and Climate Change as catalyzing and Supporting agency. During this
camp 24 students of M.Sc. (Botany) Sem 2 and 4 and B.Sc. (Medical) Sem VI
visited Harike and Karmowal. At Harike Project Incharge Madam Geetanjali
briefed the students about the various Water parameters they are studying at
the confluence of Satluj and Beas at Harike. They also monitor the fauna
present in the river like Indus Dolphin and Ghariyal. They also look for
migratory birds visiting here from November to February. Ms. Sarabjeet also
briefed students about Raptors found in Punjab. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay
Sareen congratulated the department for its efforts in bringing awareness among
students about Biodiversity and its conservation. On the second day of Nature
Study Camp 24 students of M.Sc. (Botany) and B.Sc. (Medical) Sem-4 visited Van
Chetna Park, Nara Dam and Saleran Dam which comes under Hoshiarpur Forests
area. At 11.30 am in morning students reached at Van Chetna Park, to study
floral Diversity in Park where Mr. Jasveer (Forest Inspector and Ms. Hashika
(Block Incharge) briefed about necessity of environment protection. They also
explained the motive of making such protected areas in Punjab. Then under the
guidance students also visited Nara Dem, to enjoy Beauty of Nature. On the way
students monitored the floral diversity in Nara Forest. They also enjoyed
refreshment at ancient piece of art “Nara Rest Houre” constructed by British.
After having lunch, students along with their teachers enjoyed beauty of
Saleran Dam situated at latitude and
surrounded by mountains. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen
congratulated the department for putting their efforts to learn students
outside the college boundaries. Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur, Ms.
Harpreet and Dr. Shuchi accompanied the students.

HMV Organised a Visit to The Care For Autism Foundation
Under the
able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, the PG Department of
Psychology, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organised an Educational visit to
The Care For Autism Foundation, Jalandhar. The students were welcomed by Mr.
Atul Madaan, Clinical Psychologist and Chief Advisor, Care For Autism; and his
team at the facility. Mr. Madaan briefed
the students about autism spectrum disorder, early signs, behavioural factors,
identification criterion and how early intervention helps children better. The
students were then shown the occupational therapy and Multi- sensory rooms and
we’re informed about the uses of every equipment present there. After the tour
of the facility, Mr. Atul Madaan discussed the importance and types of
therapeutic avenues that are required for a child under the spectrum of autism.
Mr. Madaan also answered the queries from the children. Principal Dr. Ajay
Sareen appreciated the efforts of the students for creating awareness and
encouraged them to take part in such visits in the future as well. On this
occasion Dr Ashmeen Kaur, Head of PG Department of Psychology, and faculty
members, Ms Niharika, Ms Shruti and Ms Harpreet were present.

Multimedia Club of PG Department of Multimedia, HMV organized a visit to Machinex – 2023
The Multimedia Club of PG
Department of Multimedia organized a visit to Machinex – 2023 for the students
of B. Design (Multimedia), B. Vocational & M. Vocational (Web Tech. &
Multimedia). The students had an opportunity to know about the cloud storage
and working infrastructure. Mr. Mukesh Bansal, Director, Btrack India Pvt.
Ltd. guided the students about their solutions
for Cloud hosting , Backup and Security Services to their esteemed clients. He also provided knowledge about their
technical support to websites and softwares through their VPS and different
Servers. During the visit, the students came to know about the impression and
laser printing on Pens, Book Covers and Metal via the industry BEE Prints. The
students got awareness of leading technologies used in the industries that will
help them in increasing their knowledge for better employment opportunity. Mr.
Ashish Chadha, Head companied the students to the exhibition. Principal, Prof.
Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen praised the efforts of the department. On this occasion
Mr. Rishabh Dhir were also present.

Mass Communication Students of HMV Visited Doordarshan
The students of Mass Communication and Video Production Department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar visited Doordarshan Kendra. They were welcomed by Doordarshan Programme Producer Mr. Kewal Krishan. He told the students about the functioning and the programming of the Doordarshan. The students visited the Newsroom, Chroma Studio, Control Room and Editing Department. The students were also given information about Pre-Production, Production and Post Production Process. Along with this the students also got an opportunity to watch the live music programme. How a programme is prepared and what things are kept in mind for preparing the programme were also explained. Doordarshan Director Mr. Anoop Khjuria informed the students about the job opportunity available in Doordarshan. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of the students and said the given exposure to the students is need of the art. On this occasion, faculty members Mrs. Rama Sharma, Head of the Department, Ms. Priyanka Jain and Ms. Priya were also present.

Students of HMV Visited GNDU Amritsar
A day boot camp at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar,
emphasizing early stage women start ups and stands for Tech Start-Up-Connect
and Grow Series-under-SHE (Startup’s Handholding and Empowerment) initiative of
Punjab State Council for Science and Technology in partnership with GNDU,
Amritsar was organized. Students and teachers of HMV took part in this camp. Before
official start of the session, quiz and a healthy exchange of the views on the
topic of “Women Empowerment and Entrepreneurship” was done. It was highly
informative activity. Later in Que Dr. Amandeep Singh, member of Incubation Centre
explained about the concept of entrepreneurship, idea pitching and other ideas
related to it. Dr. Sarabjot Singh Behl, Dean Academic Affairs inaugurated the
session in presence of other dignitaries like Dr. P.K. Pati and others. Dr. Sarabjot
Singh Behl was the chief guest of the event, who bragged up the topic of Women
Empowerments and Entrepreneurship with his enthusiastic words. The first
speaker of the day was Dr. Dapinder Kaur Bakshi-Joint Director, Punjab State
Council for Science and Technology enlighted everyone with the SHE initiative
and with the current percentage comparisons of Women Empowerment in this
sector. Mrs. Shikha Sareen, a young entrepreneur, who shared her inspiring life
journey as an entrepreneur. In a Que was Mr. Amitej Singh, who emphasized about
3P Patience, Passion and perseverance in this field. Mrs. Muskan Kapoor owner
of Angel Paradise, associated with art of living, encouraged the young Ladies
about importance of High’s and Lows in career. It was really very informative
and eye opening session. In the end the
event was concluded with vote of thanks of Dr. Swati. Dr. Jitender, Dr.
Meenakshi Duggal Mehta and Mrs. Kanika accompanied the students. Principal
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen encouraged the students to take part in such camps
in future also.

Mass Comm. Students of HMV visited Radio City
The
student of Mass Communication and Video Production Department of Hans Raj
Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar visited Radio City 91.9 FM Office as a part of their curriculum. They
were welcomed by Regional Programming Director Punjab and Haryana Mrs. Seema
Soni. She told them about the working of Radio Station and Programming Part. RJ
Sandy told the students about the duties and responsibilities of Radio Jockey.
He told them that there are lots of job opportunities in Radio except RJ. There
are content writers, sound engineers, marketing executives a voice over artists
also. Voices of some students were also recorded to boost their confidence. The
students also met their Sound Engineer Mr. Vishal Nolin and RJ Imran Khan. The
students asked their queries from them. The visit was indeed very beneficial
for the students. They were accompanied by Head of Department Mrs. Rama Sharma,
Ms. Priyanka Jain and Ms. Priya Sharma.

Handball Team of HMV won Gold Medal
The Handball Team of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar brought laurels by winning Gold Medal in Handball Inter College Competition. This Competition was held from 14th January to 16th January, 2023 at GNDU Campus Amritsar. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the team members and Coach Mr. Amritpal Singh. She said HMV is offering best of the coaching and other facilities to its players. On this occasion, faculty members Dr. Navneet Kaur and Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur were also present.

One Day Educational Visit to National Institute of Renewable Energy, Kapurthala by HMV

Vipnet Club of PG Department of Physics of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya,
Jalandhar organized a one day educational visit under the guidance of Principal
Prof. Dr. Ajay Sareen.A team of 48 students accompanied by two teachers Mrs.
Saloni Sharma and Mr. Sushil Kumar to Sardar Swaran Singh National Institute of
Renewable Energy (SSS-NIRE), Kapurthala (Punjab). Spread over a sprawling
campus of about 75 acres, the carries out and facilitates research, design,
development, testing, standardization & technology demonstration eventually
leading to commercialization of RD&D bio fuel. Students visited four
research laboratories operational on synthesis, characterization and testing of
biofuels Bioenergy and synthetic fuels in solid, liquid and gaseous forms for
transportation, portable and stationary applications as well as Development of
hybrid/integrated energy systems based on solar energy and wind energy. They
learnt about the various processes for production of Bio-fuel in chemical
conversion R&D Lab and BioChemical conversion of R&D Lab, Designing,
testing experimental efficiency of different models of Cook Stoves developed at
NIRE and improving biomass Cook stove. In the hybrid/integrated energy systems
labs, students learnt about working of solar panels for conversion of solar
energy to electricity and various control factors for improving the output of
solar panels. They also learnt about the application of Solar Panels for
heating water in Solar Water heaters/Geysers. Students also saw the working
model of Wind Mill, learnt about finding the threshold speed of wind required
for converting wind energy to electricity. The students also interacted with
Post Doc researchers as well as Research Scientist, to learn from their
experience. Some students also enquired about the various study paths to get
into such research institutes. The visit was very informative and students were
motivated to undertake research as a career and utilize their knowledge for
betterment of Society. After the educational visit the students also visited
Gurudwara Baba Ber Sahib at Sultanpur Lodhi . Principal Prof. Dr. ( Mrs.) Ajay
Sareen motivated the students to participate in more such visits to have
practical experience and exposure with such research labs. She also
congratulated the Faculty of the department on successfully organizing the
trip.

One Day Trip to Wonderland organized by HMV Collegiate School
With the intention of
garnering new experiences and novel thinking, one day trip to Wonderland was
organized for the students of HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School under the able
guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Students of Science Stream
spent an amazing time at Wonderland which provided them a break from the
routine of classes. The students enjoyed infinity room, horror house, boating
and tempting lunch. Their main source of enjoyment was slides in water park
They played and splashed in water and had an awesome time. The trip was
memorable and eventful. The students clicked selfies to cherish the memories
throughout their lives. Principal Prof. Dr. Sareen congratulated Collegiate School
Coordinator and staff members for organizing such a trip. She said that in order to break the monotony,
such type of one day trips are necessary to be organized. It also teaches management of time to the
students. School coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal apprised that these trips and
excursions make the social skills of the students sharpened and create holistic
development of them. She stated that HMV collegiate organizes these sorts of
trips and excursions so that the overall personality of the child is developed.
The students were accompanied by teachers, Ms. Arvinder Kaur and Ms. Ridhima.
