HMV won nine prizes in GNDU Flower Exhibition

PG Department of Botany of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya participated in Spring Festival of flowers and plants-cum-seminar under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen organized by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.  On first day students participated in Rangoli competition in fifteen different categories of plants and flower show like ‘flowers in any variety in Pots’, ‘Foliage/Ornamental Plants’, ‘Cactis succulents’, ‘Bansai’, and ‘Display with group of pets’.  In Rangoli competition Ms. Priya and Ms. Marjeena stand second under category and ‘Rangoli with flowers’ whereas Ms. Gaganpreet and Gagreen also stand second under category of Rangoli with Artificial Material.  In plant and Flower show competition PG Deptt. of Botany won four first prizes and three second prizes under different categories of plants.

Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Dr. Nitika Kapoor, Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur, Ms. Priya, Ms. Jaswinder, Ms. Harpreet Kaur and Mr. Raj Kumar led the contingent.  Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen and Dr. Meena Sharma, HOD Botany congratulated the department motivated the students to participate regularly in such events.
