Students of HMV visited Pracheen Kala Kendra

40 students from the Department of Dance, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya got the chance to experience and explore deeper levels of classical dance in an educational trip to Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh organized under the motivational guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and Coordinated by Dr. Pooja Manhas, HOD, Dance. The enthusiastic students gained information about Pracheen Kala Kendra which is doing yeoman service for the promotion and preservation of Indian Performing and Visual Arts. The students learnt about the subtle nuances of Indian Classical Music, Classical Dance and Fine Arts through interaction with the maestros of the field. Students also visited sukhna Lake and the temple of Mansa Devi to add up to the memories of the trip. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of the Department saying that such trips facilitate learning and provide a rich immersion experience. It also connects the youth with one glorious culture and traditions.
