Contributing towards elimination of drugs from the
country, the NSS and NCC units of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organised a
special event " Drugs – The Destroyer" on International Day against
Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking under the motivation of Principal Prof. Dr.
Ajay Sareen. Calling it a psychological
disease Principal Dr. Sareen said that drugs weaken the mind and heart and
ultimately the body succumbs to it. Arya Samaj has always remained progressive
towards building a drug free nation. She motivated the students to participate
in the movement to curb the menace of drugs and seek values from Indian culture
and traditions. On similar notes NSS Programme Officer. Dr. Anjana Bhatia
addressed the youth as architects of future and urged them to fully support the
awareness campaigns. Ms. Sonia Mahindru, NCC Incharge also encouraged the
students to lead the society towards the right direction and make the people
aware of the consequences of drugs intake. The volunteers and cadets were also
shown a video depicting the evil of drug abuse. An awareness rally was also
organised. Mrs. Pawan Kumari, Mr. Vidhu Vohra from NSS Unit, Mrs. Saloni, Mrs.
Purnima from NCC unit along with Commander Jasbir Singh, Admin Officer Major
Viji, ANO Lt. Keemti, Third Officer Ms. Amandeep and GCI Ms. Parvati were also
present on the occasion.
