Marking the occasion of Nirjala Ekadashi, which falls on the
eleventh lunar day of the waxing fortnight in the month of Jyestha, Hans Raj
Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized a chabeel and served sweetened cold water to
the passers-by, under the benevolence and generosity of Principal Prof. Dr.
(Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Emphasizing the significance of this sacred Indian practice
of serving water, Dr. Ajay Sareen said that it is a pious and virtuous duty
which provide relief to the people from scorching heat wave. It is pertinent to
mention that Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya stands committed to encouraging and
performing activities of religious devotion and social welfare. Mrs. Meenakshi
Sayal, Co-ordinator School, Mrs. Kuljit Kaur, Dean Holistic, Mr. Amarjeet
Khanna, Office Superintendent, Mr. Raman Behl Superintendent, members of
Teaching and Non-teaching Staff offered their contribution in the sacred deed.
