The NSS Unit of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organised
orientation ceremony of NSS volunteers with the motive "Not me but
you" under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen. This
ceremony was dedicated to the 550th birth anniversary of Shri Guru
Nanak Dev Ji. Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen addressed the students &
said that NSS unit is working continuously for the development of youth.
Through NSS everybody can contribute in social work. She encouraged the
students to work for NSS unit. Programme Officer Mrs. Veena Arora also
encouraged the students for becoming a part of NSS unit. Programme Officer Dr.
Anjana Bhatia said that National Service Scheme helps you in overall
development of your personality.
This day is dedicated to 550th birth
anniversary of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The NSS Unit prepared Seed Boats and
they were sown in college premises. The students were also told about the
activities of NSS unit during last year. The students were awarded about the
hazards of using plastic. The NSS volunteers took an oath against burning of
straw and its disadvantages. The program ended with National Anthem. On this
occasion, other members of NSS unit Ms. Hamrmanu Paul, Mrs. Alka and Mrs. Pawan
Kumari were also present. The students also collected the things to be donated
in Apahaj Ashram & Mother Taresa home.
