Aiming to enhance the students’ prowess of eloquence,
the Department of English and Budding Brontes Society organized an inter-class
declamation contest under the vibrant leadership of Principal (Prof.) Dr. Mrs.
Ajay Sareen and guidance of Mrs. Mamta, Head of Department of English Language.
The vivacious participants enthusiastically expressed their views choosing from
the four topics Virtual relationships, Declining trend of
reading books, Literature shapes the values of life and Women in 21st
century. The capability of the students was adjudicated by masterly senior
faculty members of the department Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda, Mrs. Kranti Wadhwa
and Mrs. Ritu Bajaj. The first position
was shared by Radhika Verma and Vanshika , the second position was bagged by Bhavya
Middha and the third position was shared byIsha Verma and Kirandeep Kaur. Kriti was awarded a consolation prize. Dr.
Ramnita Saini congratulated the students and gave them valuable tips on
improving their oration.
Felicitating the winners Principal Dr. Sareen said that such events help
combine language with eloquent delivery which reflects the real purpose of
education. It improves the diction and stage presentation skills thus building up
the confidence. Mrs. Mamta wished success to the students in all walks of life.
The event was co-ordinated by Mrs. Lovleen Kaur, In charge Budding
Brontes Society and assisted by Varanjit and Raunika who deftly anchored the
event as well.
