One day workshop on Entrepreneurial Design Thinking and IPR organized at HMV



A one day workshop on Entrepreneurial, Design Thinking and Intellectual Property Rights was organized for Community College students at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.  On this occasion, Mr. Ranen Das from Ixora Group Mumbai was the resource person.  He was welcomed by Mrs. Meenakshi Syal, Coordinator Community College, Mrs. Rama Sharma, Dr. Harpreet Singh, Mr. Ashish Chadha, Mrs. Navneeta with a planter.  Principal Prof. Dr. Ajay Sareen said that this workshop will help in increasing confidence in proposing ideas and polish the ability of students to assess new business ideas and strengthen idea pitching skills. 
            Mrs. Meenakshi Syal gave an introduction of the workshop and motivated the students to come up with innovative ideas for their start ups.  She also said that the objective of this workshop is to make our students job providers not the job seekers.
            From development of design thinking to how to insert disruption into thought processes to spark creative ideas Mr. Ranen Das also gave some great insights into creative and innovative thinking.  He said design thinking is a foundation for the innovation.  It requires useful mindset for entrepreneurs because it helps them in becoming focused towards their goal.  He also enlightened the students about Intellectual Property Rights.
            To make the workshop interactive and communicative, he asked the students to present their creative skills through different activities.  It helped in finding out the detailed idea about how creative an individual is and how can designing be different from each other based on their mind set and intellectual skills. 
            At the end, Mrs. Meenakshi Syal presented vote of thanks for being with the students and making them aware about the development of the entrepreneur skills.  The stage was conducted by Mrs. Jyoti Sehgal.
