Vidyalaya organised an Awareness Event on Women Empowerment in collaboration
with Women Empowerment Research Project.
Advocate Abha Nagar, Famous
Social Activist and Ms. Karman Kaur Miglani, Speaker, Motivational Writer were
the Resource Persons. The event began with the lightning of the lamp followed
by recitation of DAV Gaan. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated
Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Incharge Equal Opportunity Cell and all the organizers on
the success of the event. Dr. Anjana Bhatia welcomed the guests with planters.
Dr. Anjana Bhatia informed the audience
that standing by each other through the walks of life is empowerment. A
woman is perfect in herself and so she should always move forward with
confidence.
Ms. Karman talked about
the importance of empowering women and also how women should respect themselves
and only then the world would progress. Advocate Abha Nagar gave knowledge
about the legal rights of the women. She motivated the students to be aware of
their rights and fight for them. The event ended with various cultural
activities by the students and an interactive panel discussion.
