The NSS Volunteers of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya
participated in a rally against Plastic organised by Municipal Corporation,
Jalandhar on the occasion of Guru Ravidas Jayanti. They visited the shops in
mela and encouraged the shopkeepers to use paper bags instead of plastic bags.
The NSS volunteers also encouraged the people in mela to avoid the use of
plastic and told them about its hazards. The students distributed paper bags in
the people.
Principle
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated
the volunteers for their participation and encouraged them to contribute
in making our country Swach. Program Officers Mrs. Veena Arora & Dr. Anjana
Bhatia also encouraged the students. On this occasion, NSS unit, Assistant
Program Officer Mrs. Pawan Kumari & Ms. Harmanu Pal were also present.
