Sanskrit Day celebrated at HMV

 


The Sanskrit department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya celebrated Sanskrit Day in order to aware the students about the importance of Sanskrit language. On this occasion, inter class essay writing competition was organized. The topics of competition were “Importance of Sanskrit in Modern Era” and “Ved- the Basis of Morality”. The students of other languages also participated in this competition. Rishis are the source of Sanskrit literature. Sawan Purnima is being celebrated as Rishi Parv and Sanskrit diwas. Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen said that Sanskrit is our heritage. Its importance should be known to young generation. We get knowledgeable material from Vedic Sanskrit Studies. In present era, for computer programming, Sanskrit language is known as the best language. She congratulated Sanskrit department and the winners of the competition. She also encouraged the students to take part in such competitions. Km. Khushi of sem 4 got 1st prize, Km. Aditi Rana of B.Com. sem 4 got 2nd prize and Km. Simmi Aggarwal of B.Com. Sem 5 got 3rd prize. In Collegiate wing, Km. Softy Kashyap got 1st prize, Km. Gurpreet Kaur got 2nd prize and Km. Sakshi Badola got 3rd prize. Dean Vedic Adhyyan Society Mrs. Mamta, Coordinator HMV Collegiate School Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal and Head of Sanskrit Department Ms. Meenu Talwar congratulated the winners.
