Under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen
and Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal Coordinator Community College, Department of Home
Science organized National Webinar on “Increasing Demand of Caregivers in
Perspective of Sector Skill Council” under initiative of Industry Academia
Interface. This webinar is conducted under Community College Diploma of Nanny
and Elderly Health Care. Mr. Sumit Garg, Head standards and assurance from
Domestic Worker Sector Skill Council was Resource Person. He highlighted the
increasing need of caregivers as now a days, both men and women are working and
trend of nuclear families are growing. He also added that this increasing
demand is not only rising in India but also in Canada, USA, Japan and other
countries. He also discussed the job roles and career options under different
NSQF levels. This webinar was arranged
with the motive of sharing knowledge and role of sector skill council in
getting jobs worldwide as any female with +2 as basic qualification and any age
group can join the course. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs) Ajay Sareen also added
that this course is the need of hour as the students who want to go abroad it’s
easy to get visa on the basis of this certification. Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal
appraised academia interface for providing a platform for all the students to
get experiential learning. Mrs. Divya Chadha, course co-ordinator gave a brief
introduction about the course. The webinar ended with the vote of thanks by Mrs.
