Lifetime Membership of Hindustan Scouts and Guides taken by H.M.V. Collegiate Sr. Sec. School Parveshika Camp attended by the students of school

 


Physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual development of young people is important so that they can make a constructive place in society as responsible citizens. In order to ensure overall development of students, H.M.V Collegiate Sr. Sec. School has taken the lifetime membership of Hindustan Scouts and Guides.  Students of school can now become the members of Hindustan Scouts and Guides and attend various camps organized by them. HMV always remains in frontline to motivate and encourage students by organizing such activities and camps time and again.

The students of collegiate school attended an online Parveshika Camp organized by Hindustan Scouts and Guides recently.  The students joined this online camp under the able guidance of principal Prof Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.  44 students of school participated in this online  Parveshika camp. During this 3 day online camp the students learnt a lot about the basics of scouting and guiding, rules of flags and first aid.  The students were also introduced with the various commands like whistle command , clap command etc. They also learnt about various first aid tricks and handy uses of scarfs. Shri Nitin Chaudhary State secretary of Hindustan scouts and guides  Punjab,  guided the students during this camp. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the participants and emphasised on the importance of such camps. She further advised the students to join such camps as it will develop their self confidence and they can also explore and discover world beyond the classroom. School coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Syal also mentioned the role of such camps in the physical and mental development of the students.  Students were delighted to be a part of this camp and thanked Principal Dr.Sareen and school coordinator Mrs. Syal for giving  them the opportunity to take part in this online camp. Ms. Sukriti Sharma, Lecturer in Economics, also joined the students during this camp.
