A Havan Yajna was performed at
Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar in order to celebrated Birth
Anniversary of Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ji under the able guidance of Principal
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The event was organised in collaboration with
Vedic Adhyan Society and Sanskrit Department. All the members of teaching and
non-teaching staff performed Havan Yajna and prayed to the Almighty to shower
his blessings on everyone. Dr. Meenu Talwar (Head, Sanskrit Department) recited
the Havan Mantras. Dean Vedic Studies Mrs. Mamta, School Coordinator Mrs.
Meenakshi Sayal, Mrs. Navroop (Head, Punjabi Department), Dr. Seema Marwaha
(Head, Zoology Department) also graced the occasion with their presence. The
prayers were offered for the students of +2 who are going to appear in the
upcoming final board exams later in this month. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay
Sareen gave her blessings and motivated students to work hard to attain their
goal in life. She told students about the principles and teachings of Swami
Dayanand that they should have firm belief in God and follow the path of
righteousness. Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal and Mrs. Mamta gave her blessings to the
students and wished them success in their future endeavours. On this occasion
teaching and non-teaching staff of the college was also present.
