Red Cross Society and R. Venkatraman Chemical Society of Hans Raj Mahila Maha
Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized a seminar on the topic “Good Health….A path to
happiness” under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.
Dr. Seema Pasricha, Gynaecologist, Pasricha Hospital, Jalandhar was the Resource
Person. Dr. Neelam Sharma, Head, Chemistry Department and Mrs. Deepshikha,
Incharge, Red Cross Society welcomed Dr. Pasricha with green greetings. Dr.
Pasricha discussed the importance of good health, various factors affecting the
physical health as well as mental and social health and common health problems
especially faced by women like anaemia and obesity. She also talked about
menstrual hygiene and increasing problem of PCOS among young girls. She also
explained mantras of good health like yoga, meditation, balanced diet. 60
students of science department participated in the seminar and listened to the
talk enthusiastically, shedding inhibitions interacted with Dr. Pasricha
raising lots of queries, which were explained in details by her. Principal Prof.
Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the department and society for organizing
such fruitful seminar. She said that health
of females is of prime importance. They should be made aware about it. On this
occasion, Mrs. Saloni Sharma, Dr. Vandna Thakur and Ms. Tanisha were also
present.
