The NSS Unit
of HMV organized a Blood Donation Camp on the occasion of NSS Foundation Day
under the aegis of Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of
Punjab in collaboration with NGO PAHAL with the benign support of Principal
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Mrs. Harwinder Kaur, President NGO PAHAL, Mr.
Mohit, Mr. Ajay, Mr.
Sukhwinder and Mr. Prateek from Civil Hospital received a warm welcome in the
campus. Addressing the guests and audience Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen, who
herself has donated blood 23 times
motivated the students to come forward for the noble cause. She also told how
donating blood is beneficial for the donor too. Mrs. Harwinder Kaur expressed
her thanks towards the institution for the support and well-organized camp. NSS
unit Advisor Dr. Anjana Bhatia and Mrs. Veena Arora Incharge NSS also
encouraged the students to create awareness among masses for donating blood and
saving lives. 25 units of blood was donated by faculty members and students of
HMV. Dr. Jyoti Gogia, Ms. Harmanu, Mrs. Pawan Kumari, Dr. Mandeep Kaur and Mr. Parminder
Singh arranged and coordinated the event.
