Installation ceremony of
Student Council (2022-23) held under stewardship of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.)
Ajay Sareen. Ceremony started with DAV Gaan followed by formal welcome of
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen by Mrs. Urvashi, Dean Student Council
and Dr. Nitika Kapoor, Co-Dean Student Council. After that Mrs. Urvashi, Dean
Student Council briefed about various best practices of student council. She
said that student council is link between students and administration that
helps to develop administrative and leadership qualities among students.
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen addressed the students and congratulated
them on receiving the prestigious offices designated to them. In her address
she motivated the students to transform the society with their enormous energy,
capabilities and leadership qualities. Further she insisted the students to
have positive thinking and balanced vision that will make them better leaders
of the future. She encouraged all the
students to be “Aaryan”and discharge their duties efficiently and responsibly.
Office bearers are messengers of any institution who will help to inculcate
good qualities among other students and also to society.Chief Guests of the
day, Km.Radhika, former UG Joint head girl
of the College, and Km. Diksha, former PG head girl of the College, also
addressed the students. Both of them persuade students to work in a team for
holistic growth of the institution and keep focus on their goals.They
acknowledged the contribution made by college and student council in accomplishing their career and having
better leadership qualities that further enabled them to face challenges of
life very efficiently. Madam Principal, Mrs. Urvashi, Dean Student Council,
Mrs. Navroop, Dean Youth welfare,Dr. SeemaMarwaha, Dean Academics, Dr.Ashmeen Kaur,
IQAC Coordinator and Dr. Neelam Sharma, Faculty Incharge Sciences adorned 319 students
with badges. Km. Sukhmandeep Kaur and Km. Shaina Suchdeva were adorned as UG
and PG head girl of the institution respectively. 14 students designated with
titles of joint head girl and assistant head girl. Besides, Student council
consists of class representatives, secretaries, assistant secretaries and
member of task force of various clubs and societies. 50 students bestowed with
the badges of secretaries of various societies and 118 students appointed as
class representative. On this occasion, faculty Incharges Dr. Mamta, Mrs. Deepshikha, Mrs. Saloni Sharma, Mrs. Meenu Kohli, Dr.
Sangeeta Arora, Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Mrs. Neeta Malik, Mrs. Savita Mahendru, Dr.
Neeru Bharti, Dr. Rakhi Mehta, Mrs. Jyotika Minhas, Mrs. Ritu Bajaj, Ms.
Harmanu, Dr. Jiwan Devi, Dr. Deepali, Dr. Sakshi Verma, Mrs. Protima Mander were
