Under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen The Freudian Psychological Society of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya observed The World Mental Health Day wherein various activities were held to commemorate the day. Beginning with a workshop by Resource Person Mrs. Tarveen Kaur, NLP practitioner and Life coach, Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen and Dr. Ashmeen Kaur, Head of the PG Department of Psychology welcomed Mrs. Tarveen Kaur with a planter and painting by the students of HMV, as a token of appreciation. Mrs Tarveen, in the course of the interactive workshop discussed several important factors of mental health and how they affect our life, ranging from the importance of choices to time management. Mrs. Tarveen Kaur stressed on the importance of being resourceful and how having a correct mindset plays a pivotal role in life. She talked about replacing the victim mindset with a winner’s mindset in order to make peace with our current realities. She stressed on how important it is to realise our qualities and work on them to build a better future. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen also highlighted the importance of Positive Mental Health and how hugely it impacts not just us but everyone in our surroundings as well. The interactive workshop was attended by students of various streams who actively asked queries throughout the session which were keenly answered by Mrs. Tarveen Kaur. On this occasion an Open Mic, a Poster Making Competition and a Street Play on “Positive Mental Health” was also organised. Students were actively participated. The event was anchored by Ms. Damanpreet Kaur of BA Sem V. Faculty members Ms. Harpreet, Ms. Shruti and Ms. Vanshika were also present. Ms Niharika gave the vote of thanks.
