Financial
Wellness Session was organized by Planning Forum ,PG Department of Economics,
Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya under the guidance of Prof. Dr. (Mrs) Ajay
Sareen. The resource person for the session was Ms. Namrata Arora , Finance
Educator Director , Buiness Development. The Seminar was attended by a total of
60 students via Zoom Meeting App from I2:00 pm to 1:00 pm. The Speaker focused
on how to understand Indian Securities and Create Wealth. She discussed the importance of Financial
Literacy. There was a detailed discussion on share market,Mutual Funds and
other Securities as well. The main objective of the session was to provide
valuable insights about financial wellness. She
provided comprehensive inputs on various aspects of financial wellnes.
She spoke on exploring potential and identifying techniques to grow
financially. The students learnt key difference between Primary and Secondary
Market.The Session highlighted about the richest people of the world, their
Source of wealth and why one should buy shares. She also explained in detail
about the accounts that we need for buying/selling shares and the process of
opening those accounts. Securities and Exchange Board of India(SEBI) and the
various provisions of it were also discussed.
She pointed out that having adequate money and managing it wisely will
result in financial well-being which is very essential for creation of happiness,wealth
and peace.The session witnessed an enthusiastic participation and all the
queries were answered by the speaker. The session ended with a vote of thanks
given by Head of the department Dr. Shallu Batra. College Principal Prof.Dr.
(Mrs) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of the department and encouraged to
organize such Programmes in future as
well.
