NSS Unit and Youth Red Cross Society of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized one day Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with NGO PAHAL under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The motto of the event was ‘A Single Drop of Your Blood Could be a Drop of Life for Someone Else’. Principal Dr. Sareen accorded a warm welcome to all the guests and inaugurated the camp. Sixty-four students had themselves registered in this camp. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that blood donation is a noble cause in the service of humanity. She motivated the students to come forward for this noble cause. President of NGO PAHAL, Mrs. Harwinder Kaur motivated the students to become part of this NGO for social cause. She also encouraged the students to participate in these kinds of blood donation camps with full zeal and enthusiasm. Dr. Rupinderjit Kaur, BTO, Shaheed Babu Labh Singh Civil Hospital, Jalandhar, with her team members was also present there. In this blood donation camp, HDFC Bank also extended its cooperation by providing refreshment to the donors. On this occasion, Dr. Anjana Bhatia, in-charge Red Cross Society Mrs. Deepshikha, in-charge NSS Dr. Veena Arora and Ms. Harmanu were also present. The faculty member of the college, Dr. Mamta also donated blood. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen appreciated faculty and students and encouraged them to donate blood in future too as one unit of blood can save lives.
