Drishti Technology Centre of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya
in collaboration with Saksham Punjab organized one day workshop for the
visually challenged students. Around 20
participants from various cities of Punjab participated in the workshop. Dr. Ashmeen Kaur, Incharge of the Cell
welcomed Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, Dr. Prem Sagar, Coordinator of the
Cell sang the Saksham Anthem. Mrs.
Deepika Sagar, General Secretary, Saksham Punjab introduced the concept of
talking books, mobility smart canes and integrated education to the
audience. She along with her team gave
practical demonstration regarding reading and writing on computers and use of
smart canes. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay
Sareen appreciated the efforts by the Drishti Technology Centre and
Saksham. She assured that in future
there would no waiting for the availability of smartcane to the needy visually
challenged person. She also assured easy
availability of smart cane and distribution to the needy visually challenged
persons. In the end, participants were
given certificates for the computer training by the Principal.
