Inaugural Havan-cum-Orientation programme for the New
Entrants was organized in Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya on 13th July,
2016. Havan Yajna was organized in the
Yajnashala to invoke the blessings of the Almighty. Students attended the Havan in big
numbers. Mr. Arvind Ghai, Secretary, DAV
College Managing Committee, New Delhi, Dr. Sushma Chawla, Mr. Kundan Lal
Aggarwal, Mr. S.N. Mayor, Mr. Inderjit Talwar, Mr. S.P. Sahdev, Mr. Surendra
Seth and Dr. Pawan Gupta blessed the students with their warm wishes. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs) Ajay Sareen
welcomed the guests and gave her good wishes to the students and thanked Dr.
Punam Suri Ji, President DAV CMC, New Delhi for his blessings. She emphasized on the need of focusing on
academic excellence and becoming good human beings by shedding off our ego and
laziness in life. She also described the
revered present guests as role models for the students. Mr. Ghai dwelt on the significance of Havan
which teaches us moral values and leads us towards good actions. The programme was conducted by Dr. Jyoti
Gogia.
This was
followed by an orientation programme organized in Ragini Auditorium. Worthy colleagues who are Incharge of various
departments guided the students on various subjects. Mrs. Meenakshi Syal gave general subject
counseling to the students, Dr. Jasbir Rishi emphasized on the need of
realizing one’s potential, Mr. Gullagong apprised the students about the rich
placements and the placement procedure, Dr. Anjana Bhatia focused on
Add-on-courses, Dr. Rajiv Kumar inspired the students to take up NCC, Mrs.
Neety Sood spoke on the importance of discipline and the prevalent rules and
Mrs. Kuljeet Kaur Athwal motivated the students to be a part of the NSS
department. The stage was conducted by
Dr.Anjana Bhatia.
