Five Day Vedic Chetna Shivir was organized at Hans Raj
Mahila Maha Vidyalaya under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.)
Ajay Sareen. In this Shivir, students
were made aware about vedic traditions and values. On the first day of Shivir, students were
told about meditation techniques. The
resource persons were Thomas G. James and Daniel Sawanson. They said that development of personality is
also possible through meditation.
Principal Inderjit Talwar also encouraged the students for hard work
without leaving traditions. On the
second day of Shivir, Ms. Archana gave introduction of Vedic Culture and
highlighted the importance of pronunciation of ‘Om’. On the third day, Dr. Chandrashekhar told
about the rich heritage culture of vedic culture and importance of Havan. He also told about the scientific importance
of Havan.
On the fourth day, Ms. Archana demonstrated students about
various postures of Yoga. Various
competitions were also organized to aware the students about various social
problems. In debate competition,
students presented their views on various subjects.
During the Valedictory session, Havan Yajna was
organized. Advocate Sh. Ashok Paruthi
and Mrs. Indu Paruthi were the Yajman of Havan.
Mr. Ashok Paruthi encouraged the students to connect with vedic
culture. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay
Sareen highlighted the importance of ancient vedic traditions. Shivir Coordinator Dr. Ekta Khosla and
organizers Mrs. Sunita Dhawan, Mrs. Kuljit Kaur Athwal, Dr. Jyoti Gogia,
members of Non teaching staff were present there. The winners of various competitions were also
awarded during valedictory session.
