A
workshop on Banking Software Finacle
was organized by the PG Deptt. of Commerce and Management of Hans Raj Mahila
Maha Vidyalaya for the students of B.Voc. (Banking and Financial Services). The students visited the circle office of
Punjab National Bank, Jalandhar. Mr.
Navjinder Singh, Senior Manager, IT explained that how the use of Finacle has
revolutionized the banking operations and its difference from the earlier
system of managing banking operations.
Ms. Jaspreet Kaur, Manager, HMV Branch, Jalandhar explained the
practical usage of Finacle by PNB in different areas such as customer account
maintenance, customer queries, online banking, core banking solutions etc. On this occasion, Mr. Sushil Suri, Deputy
Circle Head, PNB, Mr. Gaurav Kapoor, Senior Marketing Manager, PNB and Mr.
Aman, Officer IT, PNB were also present.
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of the Head
of the Deptt. Dr. Kanwaldeep Kaur and encouraged to organize such programmes in
future as well.
