Online Live Workshop on “Business Plan-A Roadmap to Success” by HMV

An online workshop on “Business Plan-A Roadmap to Success” was organized by the PG Department of Commerce and Management of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar. Around 794 participants registered for the workshop and it was attended live by around 1200 participants. Moderator of the Workshop, Dr. Anjana Bhatia welcomed all the participants through facebook live and presented highlights of the Commerce Department, working under the headship of Dr. Kanwaldeep Kaur. While giving an introductory note of the workshop, Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen said this is the right time for the students to choose their career path for which they need to be focused. She expressed her sincere gratitude to the DAV College Committee, Honourable President Sh. Punam Suri Ji, Director Higher Education, Sh. Shiv Ram Gaur Ji and Local Managing Committee Chairman Justice Sh. N. K. Sood Ji for their continuous support and guidance.

Mrs. Meenu Kohli, Associate Professor, briefed about the field of commerce to students and the number of opportunities available to them at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar. She also gave a complete presentation of the Department and its achievements. Dr. Seema Khanna, Associate Professor explained about the career opportunities after doing CA and about the coaching for CA foundation by the institution which is open for even boys also. Dr. Minakshi Duggal Mehta, Assistant Professor explained the concept of Business Plan with the help of different examples. A Business Plan prepared by a student, Muskaan Virdi was also shown to the participants. The experts answered the queries of the participants. Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen also explained about the online teaching provided by college through ELMS, hostel facility, transportation facility etc. Regarding the scholarships, she said that the college offered scholarships to its students of Rs. 2 crores last year and is going to pay a special tribute to the CORONA Warriors by starting a new scholarship for their children.  The students were informed about the Webinar to be conducted by the college on 18^th July, 2020 on Chartered Accountancy as a promising career option which will be taken by eminent resource persons like Dr. (CA) Girish Ahuja, CA Ashwani Jindal, and CA Sonia. The Principal congratulated Programme Coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Syal and technical team for the success of workshop. The workshop was highly appreciated by all the participants.
