Chandrayaan Vipnet Club of PG Department of
Physics of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized Online Essay Writing
Competition to observe World Telecommunication day. This day is celebrated to
raise the awareness about the importance of communication in our lives through
means of technology. Moreover, Corona Virus panedemic has highlighted the
critical role of information and communication. The topics of the essay
competition were Past, Present and Future of Telecommunication in India,
Importance of Telecommunication in times of COVID- 19 and The Impact of Telecommunication
on society. 70 Students from different institutes participated in the
competition. Ms. Gauri Jindal B.Sc of HMV stood first, Mr. Bharat of
Kurukshetra University and Ms. Ishpreet of HMV bagged second prize. Ms.
Guninder Kaur from GNDU and Sakshi Sharma of HMV secured third prize.
Consolation prize was tied between two students Ms. Vanshika from R.R.BAWA DAV
College For Girls, Batala and Yashika Sood GNDU Amritsar. Principal Prof. Dr.
(Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated Head of Physics Department Mrs. Saloni Sharma
and other staff members for organizing the event and motivated the students to
participate in various competitions organized by the college.
