Online Talent Hunt (Pratibha Khoj 2021) organized at
HMV Collegiate School
Giving wind to
the wings of the young talent, HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School organised Online
Talent Hunt Competition (Pratibha Khoj 2021) under the able guidance of
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Students of SSC-I and SSC-II utilized
this opportunity enthusiastically and showcased of their talent pertaining to
multiple facets ranging from Declamation Contest (Star Orator), Sound Music,
Poster and Collage Making Contest, Dance, Mehndi, Art & Rangoli Competition
to Quiz Contest in which more than 150 students participated. The event was
commenced with lighting of the virtual lamp and recitation of Gayatri Mantra
for the well being of all. The dynamic force behind this event Principal Dr.
Ajay Sareen expressed her immence pleasure to watch the soulful performance of
the students. She apprised that DAV College Managing Committee always believes
on Vedic Values with modernity and this talent hunt (Pratibha Khoj 2021) is
totally exemplify this belief system. The aim of DAV Managing Committee is to
make the students not only academically brilliant but creative thinkers too and
this is what HMV stands for to provide life skills to the students so that by
the virtue of them they can tackle real life situations effectively. She expressed the life long loving bond of
teachers and students in HMV very beautifully. The School Coordinator apprised
that these co-curricular activities assist the students to inculcate in them
artistic qualities, sound communication skills and confidence so that they can
become adoptable and productive human beings.
Mrs. Kuljeet Kaur from Punjabi Department talking about four
developments of human personality which are spiritual, mental, social and physical. She encouraged the
students to boost up and refine their potential always in optimistic way. The
declamation contest was adjudged by Mrs. Kuljeet Kaur and Mrs. Protima Mander
in which the students eloquently expressed their oratory skills on the relevant
topics of “Are today’s children Fashion Victim, Traditional Education v/s
online Education, Future of Vaccinated India.” In this contest Nya
Banerjee-SSC-I Arts bagged first position, Bhuvneet-SSC-I Medical got second
position and Stuti Sharma-SSC-I Arts bagged third position. Dr. Pooja Manhas
and Mrs. Savita Mahendru were the judges of Dance Competition in which
Tamanna-SSC-I Commerce, Gurneet Kaur-SSC-I Arts, Muskaan-SSC-II Arts secured
the first, second and third position. Nandini-SSC-II Arts and Nancy -SSC-I Arts
received consolation prizes. The Singing Contest was adjudged by Dr. Santosh
Khanna in which Chahat-SSC-II Arts, Arshiya-SSC-I Arts and Babita-SSC-II Arts
secured first, second and third positions. The keen and artistic judgement in
Mehandi and Rangoli Competition was given by Dr. Rakhi Mehta & Mrs.
Navneeta in which Diya- SSC-I Commerce, Davinder- SSC-I Commerce &
Bhumika-SSC-I Arts secured first, second & third position. Dr. Neeru Bharti
and Dr. Shailender Kumar were the judges of Poster and Collage Making contest
in which Khushi SSC-I Arts, Jasneet Dhanjal SSC-II Arts, Manvi -SSC-I Medical
secured first, second & third position. Mrs. Binoo Gupta, Mrs. Upma and Ms.
Vandana were the judges of Quiz Competition. Surbhi- SSC-II Commerce secured
first position, Tanisha- SSC-I Commerce secured second position, Sukhreet-SSC-I
Medical and Mansi- SSC-II Commerce collectively secured third position. The
moderator of the event was Ms. Sukriti Sharma. On this occasion Mrs. Navroop,
Mrs. Veena Arora, Mrs. Divya, Mrs. Gurdeep, Mrs. Shilpa, Ms. Richa, Ms.
Vandana, Mrs. Upma, Ms. Pahul were also present.
