Mathematics Department of HMV Celebrated Pi Day

 

 

PG Department of Mathematics of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar celebrated Pi-day by organizing Poster Presentation Competition on the topic "Highlights of Mathematics" under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr (Mrs) Ajay Sareen. The main goal of organizing a Poster Presentation Competition is to bring out the creative expression of students and to gauge their knowledge and awareness of various trends in Mathematics. Poster Presentation is a basic ability needed in academia, as posters are one of the main formats in which research is presented. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen appreciated the innovative ideas of students in which they presented Mathematics as part of Science and Technology. In this competition,  Tarunika of BA Sem VI bagged first prize, Harshita and Nandini of M.Sc. Sem Il bagged second prize. Komal and Mansi of B.Sc. (CS) Sem Il and Simardeep Kaur of B.Sc. (N.M) Sem IV got third prize. Dr. Gagandeep, Head, Mathematics department, Dr. Deepali and Dr. Gaurav Verma acted as judges for the event and congratulated the winners. Mrs. Komal and Ms. Charanjeet were also present on this occasion. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of the students and congratulated the winners and faculty members of the department for making this event a success.
