The faculty, staff and students of HMV Collegiate School paid
tribute to former Punjab Chief Minister and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) patriarch
Parkash Singh Badal, who passed away on April, 25. A two-minute silence was
observed as a mark of respect in the memory of the Akali stalwart. Principal
Dr. ( Mrs.) Ajay Sareen lauded Sardar Badal's contributions to the nation and
the state. She remembered him as a pious soul, visionary leader, and a
remarkable statesman whose contribution is immense. She conveyed to the students that the
colossal personality of S. Parkash Singh Badal teaches us great lessons of
devotion and dedication. She concluded by offering prayers to the Almighty to
grant strength and solace to the bereaved family members, the people of the
state, and the nation to bear this irreparable loss.
