The Red Ribbon Club of Hans Raj
Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized AIDS Awareness Programme on the occasion of
World AIDS Day under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay
Sareen. The Resource Person was Dr. Manisha Sachar from Sachar Hospital,
Jalandhar. Principal Dr. Sareen welcomed the resource person and said that we
should adopt a healthy lifestyle by eating healthy diet, doing exercise
regularly so that mental development can be attained also. Advisor Red Ribbon
Club Mrs. Kuljit Kaur and Coordinator Dr. Deepali told the participants that it
will be very useful for them to attend this lecture. Dr. Manisha Sachar told
the students about the causes, symptoms, precautions to be taken in this
disease with the help of a PPT. She made the students aware about cleanliness.
She told them to eat fresh food always. The students asked so many questions
about women health. This programme was organized especially for resident
scholars. On this occasion, Resident Scholar Coordinator Dr Meenu Talwar and
Hostel Wardens were also present. Around 100 students participated in the
lecture.
