A seven day NSS
special Camp is going on in the premises of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya
Jalandhar and the sixth day of the camp began as usual with DAV Gaan and NSS
song. Nss adviser Dr. Anjana Bhatia and NSS
coordinators Dr. Veena Arora and Ms. Harmanu Paul welcomed the Principal Prof.
Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Principal
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen addressed the entire NSS unit and made the NSS
volunteers aware regarding the importance of NSS camp and its’ role for overall
development in one’s life. Programme Officer Dr. Veena Arora, in her address,
told the volunteers that we must think for the welfare of others and always be
one step ahead to serve our society. On the sixth day, NSS volunteers participated
in various competitions such as Poster Making, Poetical recitation, declamation
and video making on environment protection. Dr. Shailendra told the dos and
don’ts of poster making with students and inspired them to take initiatives in
such sorts of activities. Further, volunteers visited to the village Gillan and
made a survey on Health issues over there. Volunteers made the people aware
about the various health problems and recorded the valuable views given by the
people of the village Gillan. Programme coordinator Ms. Harmanu Paul, with the
assistance of volunteers, shared the experience of the day with all and also
told about the activities to be done by volunteers on the last day of the camp.
On this day, the stage was conducted by Dr. Jyoti Gogia who also delivered a
warm vote of thanks to one and all present in the camp.
