The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of
Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized a lecture of team Haryawal Punjab
under the series of lectures being organized for the faculty. Director team
Haryawal Punjab Sh. Ajay Sharma, Coordinator Jalandhar District Dr. Amit
Sharma, Green Home Expert Sh. Kewal Sharma & Herbal Garden and Millets
Expert Sh. Roshan Lal Sharma were present there. Senior most faculty Dr.
Navroop Kaur welcomed them. Sh. Kewal Sharma told that Green Home is that home
which has provisions for Rain water Harvesting, Kitchen Garden and Provision
for Kitchen Garbage, Solar System and Bird Conservation. He said that we should
encourage our children to love nature. We all should make a kitchen garden on
our terrace so that we can avoid eating poisonous vegetables available in
market. We should make compost from kitchen waste. Rainwater harvesting should be
adopted. Birds also contribute a lot in preserving nature. We have forced so
many species of birds go extinct by not changing our lifestyle. Sh. Roshan Lal
Sharma told that we all should have a herbal garden at home. We should have
plants of Nirgundi. Bhoomi Amla, Tulsi, Ajwain, Karhi Patta, Elovera, Moringa
etc. in our herbal garden. He also told the benefits of these herbs. The
faculty participated in this lecture enthusiastically. Sh. Roshan Lal Sharma
told that tem Haryawal Punjab has planted around 48000 plants till now and
maintained their records too. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen told that
we all should understand our responsibility as Indian citizens to plant more
plants and should take care of them. On this occasion, Coordinator IQAC Dr.
Ashmeen Kaur was also present. Stage was conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia.
