Day workshop cum Faculty Development Programme on "An Insight to
Fashion Art & Design" by PG Deptt. of Fashion Designing concluded
at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. On
the second day of the workshop, Mr. Bhupinder Kumar, Professional Artist &
Head of Foreign Languages Deptt. at Ramgarhia Institute, Phagwara, conducted a
workshop on paper craft. He demonstrated
various techniques of flower making, DIY and home décor items. Principal Dr. Sareen appreciated the
wonderful work done by Mr. Bhupinder & said that she felt short of words
after seeing the work done by him.
On
the 3rd day of the Faculty Development Programme, the resource
person was Dr. Poonam Aggarwal from NIIFT, Mohali. She spoke on the topic
"Career Prospects in Fashion World".
She told the students about how to become an entrepreneur. She also interacted with students regarding
their queries. Madam Principal said that
when profession becomes passion, it reflects in the personality. She appreciated the initiative of FD Deptt.
for providing our students & to the students of other colleges, excellent
knowledge of designing.
On
this occasion, fashion exhibition was also orgasnised by the students of deptt.
in which they displayed their creative dresses & other accessories. Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal, Mrs. Cheena Gupta, Mrs.
Navneeta & other faculty members were present. Stage was conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia.
