Awards Ceremony under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan at HMV

Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized Awards Ceremony for the students of Certificate Course in Youth Community Service and Sustainable Rural Development, under the aegis of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.  Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Coordinator HMV Dr. Ramnita Saini Sharda welcomed chief guest Prof. Dr. U.N. Roy, Head, Dept. of Rural Development, NITTTR, Chandigarh and Regional Officer, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.  On this occasion, Principal Prof. Dr.(Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that the students of this institute are working with full dedication.  She told that HMV has adopted 5 villages under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan so that they can be transformed into model villages.  Our students are the role models for the girls of those villages.

Chief guest Prof. Dr. U.N. Roy motivated the students to think and direct themselves towards building their future in such a way that they could think beyond region, community and nation.  He said community service is basically to work for the betterment of whole human civilization irrespective of their gender, caste and race.  UBA Coordinator Dr. Sharda showed a video of the work done by HMV under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan.  Manpreet Kaur got first prize, Navjot Kaur got second prize and Pooja got third prize.  30 students were awarded at the ceremony.  Dr. Sharda thanked Dr. Roy for sparing valuable time.  Stage was conducted by Ms. Nandini Budhia.
