5 day Vedic Chetna Shivir comes to a close at HMV

The 5 day Vedic Chetna Shivir organized under the generous support of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen came to a successful close. Sh. Kundan lal Aggarwal (a businessman and member of Local Committee) showed up as the motivational speaker and guest of the occasion. Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal (Coordinator Resident Scholars) presented a Planter and Shawl as a token of respect to him. The Shivir began with the sacred ritual of Havan Yajna with Sh. Kundan Lal ji, Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal and Mrs. Sunita Dhawan as Yajmans.

Sh. Kundan Lal Aggarwal narrated incidents from the life of Swami Dayanand Saraswati to motivate the students. Explaining the meaning of Om he said that we all belong to One Mighty Soul and our life should be devoted to serve the humanity as per his wish. He conveyed his best wishes to the students. Mrs. Sunita Dhawan read the report for the different sessions of the Shivir and congratulated all for its successful culmination. Km. Srishti and Km. Kamal gave their impressions of the camp.

The winners of the "Talent Finding Competition" were given prizes Nitika,  Akashdeep, Sanampreet received prizes in Shabad, Zoya and Srishti got prize in Poetical Recitation. Aman and Kashish got prize in Dance. Jashan got a prize in Folk Dance and Akanksha won prize in Folk Song.

Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the winners and said that the Shivir gave an opportunity to enlighten about Vedic tradition and rituals. These Shivirs help the youth to stay connected with their roots.

Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal gave a vote of thanks. Stage was conducted by Dr. Jyoti Gogia. Mrs. Meena (Hostel Warden), Mr. Amarjeet Khanna, Sh. Lakhwinder Singh, Sh. Ravi Maini, Dr. Jiwan Devi. Mrs. Anuradha Thakur and Ms. Simmi were also present on this occasion.
