Guest Lecture on Organ Donation in HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School

To raise awareness among students about donating organs and also to encourage general public to sign up to save lives, a guest lecture on 'Organ Donation' was organised at HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School under the amiable guidance of Principal Prof Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and Support of School Coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal. Principal Prof Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal welcomed the resource person Mr. Aadit Mittal, aged 15, from Doon School, Dehradun by presenting a planter and painting made by fine arts department. While addressing the students about Organ Donation, Mr. Aadit encouraged students to improve quality of Human lives through greater organ donation and consciousness.

He also motivated students to spread awareness, knowledge and break superstitions, taboos associated with it. By showing a power point presentation, Mr. Aadit awarded students that a statistical research has revealed a fact that no. of donors in Punjab state are much less as compared to other states in India. He told students that anyone, regardless of age or medical history can donate organs and one donor can donate upto 25 organs and save upto 8 lives. He also encourage students to join NOTTO : National Organ and Tissue Transport Organisation and pledge to donate & save lives. On this occasion faculty members of Collegiate School were also present.
