Dance Department of HMV organized International workshop on Kathak

The Dance department of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized an International Workshop on Kathak under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The resource person of the workshop was Dr. Anjul Sharma from Canada. The workshop was started with lighting of the lamp. Dr. Anjul Sharma gave practical training of Kathak to students. More than 100 students participated in this workshop. Prof. Ritika played special role in this workshop and told the students about various Taal, Tode, Vihai and Mudras.

Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed the guests and said that is a matter of pride for us to have Dr. Anjul Sharma with us. She also congratulated Head of Dance Department and Coordinator of the workshop Dr. Pooja Manhas for organizing such an amazing workshop. Dr. Anjul Sharma is a world renowned personality in the field of Kathak and she has been giving Kathak training to children in Canada from a decade.

On this occasion, Dr. Anjul Sharma said that she is feeling very happy to share her experience with the students of the most prestigious institute of North India. Dean Youth Welfare and HOD Punjabi Mrs. Navroop Kaur also congratulated the organizers of the workshop and the students. The stage was conducted by Dr. Nidhi Bal. On this occasion, Mr. Praduman and Mr. Jasmail were also present.
