Scholarships to the students of HMV Community College

Diploma for Medical Lab Technician, Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality, Diploma  in Organic farming, Diploma in Journalism and Media, Advance Diploma in Fashion Designing  are running under Community College Scheme of UGC approved by Ministry of Human Resource Development. These programmes are designed to create employment for women by empowering them with the skills needed for industry. Students who have successfully completed their first semester were given scholarship worth Rs. 6000/- by Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of Course Coordinators and apprised that they have designed syllabi according to job roles in association with industry partners. She said that emphasis is given on practical training, Industry visits and internships so that there is no gap between Industry and academics. Students are also assessed by Sector Skill Council and Certification by Sector Skill Council is globally recognised Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal, Coordinator Community College told that these skill based courses are running under Skill India Mission.

She informed that candidate of any age group, SSC II pass can join diploma under Community College at nominal fee structure Rs. 1000/- per month.  Students shared their views and expressed that training was provided to them from experts of national repute as guest faculty and adjunct faculty. Parents appreciated the efforts of institution for collaborations with different Industry sectors for training and placements. All students of last year batch have been placed. Dr. (Mrs.) Seema Marwaha, Dr. (Mrs.) Ramnita Saini Sharda Coordinator DTHM, Dr. (Mrs.)Nitika DOF,  Mrs. Rama Sharma DJM and Mrs. Navneeta Coordinator ADFD were also present.
