Ajay Sareen and School Coordinator Mrs. M. Sayal "Akshay Urja Diwas"
was celebrated in the premises of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. The Chief
Guests of this programme were Mr. Sanjivan Dhandwal (Coordinator Punjab State
Council of Science and Technology) and Mrs. Seema Chopra (H.O.D. of Physics
Deptt. of Nehru Garden School). The inauguration of this function was done by
warm welcome of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen by Mrs.
M. Sayal through Tilak Ceremony & With Lamp Lighting. All the members
presented over there participated in D.A.V. Gaan. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.)
Ajay Sareen congratulated the students on this occasion and gave them slogans
of "Conserve Energy" and "Make Earth Green". She conveyed
the message that we should conserve our energy resources and should not misuse
them. Chief Guest Mr. Sanjivan Dandhwal commenced his speech by giving them the
meaning of energy resources. He said that we should use energy resources
without giving any harm to our environment so that we can conserve them for our
future generation. He said that if human will continue to export them selfishly
they can create catastrophic effects.
By appreciating of Panel Discussion he said that it can
be successful if we apply it not in our personal life inspite of this we should
implement it in the social life and should create awareness among the society.
Mrs. Seema Chopra delivered a motivational speech regarding conservation of
energy resources. She said that Today we are living in a Modern World and we
are using Electronic gadgets a lot and for this reason, these energy resources
are becoming less day-by-day. It brings a negative impact not only on our body
but on our environment also. By appreciating the students, she said that we
should keep a check on the overuse of water so that we can conserve our energy
resources. We should create such type of resources which are more beneficial at
the lowest rates. School Coordinator Mrs. M. Sayal congratulated the students
and said that Air, Earth and Water are precious treasures given by God and it
creates a catastrophic effect if we misuse them. She lays emphasis on 3 R's
i.e. Recycle, Reuse and Reduce. She makes them aware about conservation of
resources. On this occasion many students makes different-different things
while using E-waste material e.g. Photo frame, Butterfly, Pen stand, Cycle,
Basket, Candle Stand, which attracted all the members.
Students reveal the truth that India played a very vital
role in conservation of energy. There were four teams for Panel discussion named
as (i) Solar Energy, (ii) Clean and Green Energy, (iii) Water Energy (iv) Wind
Energy. Students of XII Commerce Sugandhi and Suhani got the first position by
the Judges and Pritika and Kriti of XII Arts got the second position and
Komalpreet of XII Arts got the third position and in Panel Discussion
"Green and Clean Energy" got the first position. Geetika of XI Non-Medical
was announced as the best speaker. The stage was successfully conducted by Ms.
Richa and Ms. Avantika, Ms. Vandana, Ms. Amarjit , Mrs. Prabhjot and Ms. Nisha
and other staff members were also present there.
