Extension Lecture on Organic Farming Organized at HMV

The PG Deptt. of Botany of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar invited Professor Adarsh Pal Vig, Director, HRDC, GNDU, Amritsar for an extension lecture on Organic Farming. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed the Resource Person. Dr. Adarsh Pal beautifully crafted the need for a shift to chemical free farming. He also presented the crux of debate on Nature V/s Science while specially referring to the Modern Punjab. Dr. Anjana Bhatia said that we need to put into practice our traditional wisdom. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen motivated the students to be the change they wish to see in the world. Dr. Nitika Kapoor, Incharge, Organic Farming & Ms. Harpreet also encouraged the students to "Go Green". On this occasion Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen inaugurated a unique endeavour of preparing portable Kitchen Gardens under the aeigs of DD Pant Botanical Society. Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen said that vermicompost prepared in the college will be used in Portable Kitchen Gardens and various edible & ornamental plants will be grown.
