Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organised live
streaming of "Fit India Movement" on the occasion of National Sports
Day under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Around
200 NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers attended the programme. This movement is
launched by PM Sh. Narendra Modi with an aim to make physical activities &
sports a part of daily life of the citizens. As part of the movement, people
were informed about the benefits of staying fit towards leading a healthy life.
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen encouraged the
students to inculcate physical activity & sports in their day to day life
addressing the nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, sports is directly
related to fitness & fitness is not a word but a necessary condition for
healthy & prosperous life. Stressing the need to make fitness a mass
movement, he said that lifestyle diseases are happening due to lifestyle
disorders & it can be cured by changing life style.
The
faculty members, NSS Volunteers & NCC Cadets took "fitness
pledge" to include physical activities & Sports into their daily
lives. On this occasion, Office Supdt. Mr. Amarjit Khanna, Dr. Anjana Bhatia,
NSS Programme officer, Mrs. Rama Sharma, HOD Mass Comm & Video Production,
Dr. Saloni, NCC Co-ordinator, Mrs. Purnima Programe Officer NCC, Mrs. Jyoti
Sehgal, Miss Harmanu Paul & Mrs. Pawan Kumari were also present.
