Robotics club of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalya
under the able guidance of
Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen organized a
one day workshop on Robots and it’s
Applications . This workshop was the
video conference workshop. The resource person of the workshop was Gurpreet
Singh, M.Tech (ECE) from Imbuent Technologies Pvt.Ltd , Ludhiana
.
Faculty
Members of Department of Computer Science, Head of Department Dr. Sangeeta
Arora, in charge of the club Mr.
Ravinder Mohan Jindal and Mr. Rajesh were present. About 40 students of
Computer Science attended the seminar. Firstly the Resource person gave the
brief introduction about the Imbuent products and company profile.
The Resource person on video conferencing
emphasized on the role of Robots and it’s Applications .He orated that a device
which is capable for physical movement without human intervention and with help
of electronic circuits can be defined as Robotic Device. Later he gave the brief
introduction on motors like Stepper Motors. The Stepper Motor is a motor
controlled by a series of electromagnetic coils. There are the three ways to drive unipolar stepper
motors i.e. one phase ,two phase and half step .He also show the some PPT on robots.
Later he explained about the applications of robots. These applications are
automotive, military, industrial control, surveillance and space research. The
workshop was concluded with interactive and knowledgeable discussion.
