Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya celebrates 70th Constitution Day


To commemorate the unique contribution of the framers of the Constitution, the Postgraduate Department of Political Science  celebrated 70th  Constitution Day at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya. Mrs. Nita Malik, Head of Pol.Sc. Deptt.  offered a warm welcome to the chief guest of the occasion, Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.  Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen emphasized on the need of being aware of rights as well as duties prescribed in the Indian Constitution.  She exclaimed that the day marked the dawn of a new era and gave us the Constitution which is the framework for political principles, procedure and power of government.   Everybody present took the oath of the preamble of Indian constitution.  The students of different classes presented papers related to the theme.  Srishti read the text of the Preamble, Divjot discussed features of Indian Constitution, Jasmine threw light on Fundamental rights of Indian Constitution and  Shivani talked about Fundamental Duties.  Mrs. Nita Malik told the students about the importance of freedom and constitution.  On this occasion, Mrs. Alka Sharma and Dr. Jiwan Devi were also present.   The stage was conducted by students  Kriti Aggarwal and Tarunika Rampal.
