“Let’s
root for each other and watch each other grow”
To
bring forth the young talent and to nurture and develop competitive spirit
among young learners, an Inter-school competition – Aayam 2019 was organized at
HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School with incredible gusto and zeal. The event was conducted under the charismatic
guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and influential driving
force of School Coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal. The gala event was organized to provide an
opportunity to the budding participants to, gain substantial experience,
showcase skills, analyze and evaluate outcomes and uncover personal aptitude. The students participated and learnt a great
deal of experience from plethora of activities like Declamation Contest, Essay
Writing competition, Quiz competition, Model Making, Ad-mad Show, Collage
Making, Power Point Presentation, Digital Designing, Rangoli, Smart Chef,
Poster Making, Solo Dance, Group Dance, Golden Voice of Doaba etc.
Principal
Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen admired the efforts of school coordinator and her
team and also encouraged the students to participate in such events. She further said that competitions are very
closely related to education and indeed the development of educational skills
is impossible without such competitions.
Sh. Arvind Ghai, Secretary DAV College Managing Committee and Member
Local Committee and Sh. Jasvir Lal, Principal Meritorious School, Mr. Surjit
Lal, District and Guidance Counsellor also graced the occasion with their
presence. Sh. Arvind Ghai expressed his
delight in witnessing the talent among the budding participants from all over
Punjab and stressed that champions are made by strong visioin, determination,
persistence, skill and will. Around 714
students from 38 schools of Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Nawanshahar, Gurdaspur,
Batala and Ludhiana participated in the event. Overall trophy was bagged by
Police DAV Public School, Runners up trophy was bagged by DAV Public School,
BRS Nagar Ludhiana. Stage was conducted
by Dr. Anjana Bhatia. The event ended
with National Anthem.
