The students of HMV collegiate Sr. Sec.
school brought laurels to their institution by winning 27th district
level children science congress organized by Punjab state council for science
and technology, NCSTC & DST Govt. of India at Govt. girls sr. sec. school ,
Adarsh Nagar , Jalandhar.
The competition was based on research
work to be carried by students for 45 days, followed by their observation,
conclusion and presentation. Many Govt. school and private public schools
across the district from PSEB & CBSE participated in the event. The
students got the opportunity to show their scientific temperament and knowledge
quench, their thirst for creativity by solving problems, identified by them.
Isha Thakur & Sukhmeet Kaur of SSC II won 2nd prize & they
will participate at state level children science congress to be held at science
city. Their guide teacher Ms. Vandana Sethi also got merit certificate.
Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen
congratulated the winners for their achievement. School Coordinator Mrs.
Meenakshi Sayal also appreciated the achievement of the students and said that
school provides such opportunities to explore the talent of students.
