In order to equip themselves with technical
skills the library staff of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized a workshop
on ‘Scaling New Horizons a Library Automation’ under the motivation of
Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen and the canopy of IQAC. The resource
person Mr. S.S. Das from Softlink Asia, Delhi was offered a warm welcome by
Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen, Mrs. Navroop Kaur, Dr. Ekta Khosla, Mr. Harpreet
Singh and Mr. Amarjit Khanna.
Speaking on the occasion Principal
Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen congratulated the staff for organizing this workshop
which will enable them to bridge the gaps in knowledge. The deliberations
during the sessions would give them an exposure on the software through hand on
session. Mr. S.S. Das delivered
information based lecture on the Fundamentals of Library Management, catalogue
and Reports through Power Point presentation.
In the second session, the
participants interacted with Mr. Das and cleared their doubts on loan
procedure, circulation activities and reporting functions. The staff members
enthusiastically participated in the post lunch session on web inquiry and
queries related to software.The workshop concluded with vote of thanks by
Librarian Mr. Harpreet Singh.
