of Political Science organized Extension Lecture on “Human Rights’’. The resource person of the day was Dr. Rupam
Jagota. On this occasion Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed the
resource person Dr. Rupam Jagota with a planter. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.)
Ajay Sareen talked about Human Solidarity, Cooperation and Development. She said that universal declaration of human
rights is a milestone document that proclaimed the inalienable rights which
everyone is inherently entitled to as human being, regardless of race, colour,
religion, birth etc. While addressing the students, Dr. Rupam Jagota said that
our rights are not secured because people are not performing their duties well.
One needs to understand that other peoples’ rights are as important as yours.
She talked about laws v/s customs. The student asked questions about the
safeguard and how to protect themselves in the social system. Mrs. Meenakshi
Syal, School Coordinator said that we should not only enjoy all our rights but
also perform our duties. Head of Pol.
Sc. department Mrs. Nita Malik said that International Human Rights Day is
turning 71. Mrs. Nita Malik also
responded in detail the queries of the students. On this occasion, Mrs. Alka Sharma and Dr.
Jiwan Devi were also present
