An essence of
overwhelming elation swept over and filled the students of SSC I with curiosity
as they bid adieu to the endeared students of SSC II on Farewell – Fazal 2020
organise in HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School, under the dynamic guidance of
Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen. The event was a fiesta devoted to the
years spent together with friends & teachers and to reminisce joyous
moments. The event commenced with traditional lamp lighting ceremony followed
by DAV Gaan. The school coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Sayal and Dean student
council Mrs. Urvashi Mishra extended green welcome to the guest of honour Mrs
Navroop Kaur (HOD, Punjabi Deptt) and Dean Youth Welfare. The students of SSCI
put up musical performances in the form of songs and cultural dance
performances. Some intriguing games were also arranged to add excitement to the
gliding moments. The juniors enthralled the gathering and added colours to the
vibrant occasion. Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen showered her blessings
and expressed her strong belief that girls of this pioneer institute will be
the ambassadors of the values and ethics; they have learnt from the institute.
Guest of honour Mrs. Navroop in her address expressed her deep love and
affection for daughters and mentioned that girls are a true blessings for this
universe and their presence has made everything beautiful. She further inspired
students to remain humble and connected to their roots. Coordinator Mrs.
Meenakshi Sayal also wished the students to emerge triumphant in all walks of
life.
The judges for
modelling competition were Mrs. Rama Sharma, (HOD Mass Communication and Videp
Production Deptt.), Dr. Neeru Bharti, (HOD Fine Arts Deptt.), Mrs. Rishav
Bhardwaj, (HOD Fashion Designing Deptt) The coveted title of Ms. Etheral was given to
Gurnaaz Sandhu (SSC II,Arts), Ms. Maninder Kaur SSC II (Sci) won the title of
Ms. Gravity, The title of Ms. Magnate
was given to Mehak SSCII (Com.) Seerat SSC II (Sci) won the title of Ms. HMV
Collegiate School, Navpreet Sidhu won the title of Ms. HMV Collegiate second
runner up and Divya Kamboj won the title of HMV Collegiate first runner up. The
head girl of school Sugandhi Behl shared her enriching experience and also
expressed gratitude. She powed out her emotions and love for the school. The
auditorium was festooned with glare and the pulsating music rocked the
ambience. All the dignitaries passed on the light of wisdom from the outgoing
students to the students of SSC I.
School coordinator gave the vote of thanks. Stage was successfully conducted by
Ms. Gurleen and Muskaan. On this occasion faculty members of college and
Collegiate section were also present.
