lamp doesn’t speak, it introduces itself through its light, Achievers never
expose themselves but their achievements expose them. To honour and acknowledge the achievements of
students of HMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School celebrated the ceremony of
“Achievers Day 2020” with exuberance
under the virtuoso guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. The
event commenced with an invocation to the almighty by kindling the lamp of
knowledge and wisdom. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and coordinator
Mrs. Meenakshi Syal extended green welcome to the chief guests of the event, Prof. Lalit Awasthi, Director NIT Jalandhar,

Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, while addressing the students, appreciated and
congratulated all the prize winners for their commendable achievements. She
further inspired students saying that success isn’t just about what you
accomplish in your life, it’s about what you inspire others to do. Therefore,
coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Syal presented Annual Report of session 2019-20,
throwing light on academic achievements of the year, co-curricular activities
sports and various events organised for wholesome development of students and
future commitments towards excellence in education. Hon’ble chief guest Prof.
Lalit Awasthi, in his address advised students to explore their potential

He also told students that it is their responsibility to take this nation
towards the zenith of progress and prosperity. Presiding guest of the event
Mrs. Purnima Beri inspired students to put their heart and soul into whatever
they do and further she gave a lesson for life that students should keep their
mind open to harvest the bountiful knowledge. Guest of honour Mrs. Meenakshi
Bhardwaj congratulated the achievers and expressed her immense pride and
happiness while recollecting her memories being alumnae of college. She also
inspired students saying that believers are achievers, so they should believe
in their action. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, coordinator Mrs.
Meenakshi Syal alongwith the dignitaries felicitated the achievers with
trophies, certificates and books. Around 100 students were awarded for their
prodigious achievements in and scholastic & co-scholastic activities. On
this occasion, 3 office bearers, 9 members of Task Force and 11 class
representatives were also honoured with trophies. The contented students highly
palpable and were beaming with joy and pride. The event ended with recital of
national anthem. Stage was conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia. On this occasion
Mrs. Mamta, Mrs. Kranti Wadhawa, Mrs. Kuljit Kaur, Mrs. Veena Arora, Mr. Jagjit
Bhatia & Mr. Prem Sagar were also present.
