World Radio Day celebrated at HMV with RJ Hunt 2020


The PG Department of Mass Communication and Video Production of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya celebrated “World Radio Day” by organizing Inter College Competition “RJ Hunt 2020” under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Renowned voice over artist Inderjit Singh Paintal and RJ Heena from 98.3 FM Radio Mirchi were the guest of honor and judges for the occasion. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed them.
The students from different colleges and universities participated in the “RJ Hunt 2020” with full zeal and enthusiasm. Their craze for Radio and their dreams of being the famous RJ impressed the judges of the event. The competition for the “Best RJ” was held in two rounds : intro round and on the spot performance round and the students were adjudged on the basis of presentation, spontaneity and pronunciation. Appreciating the efforts of the department, Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated Head of the department Mrs. Rama Sharma for the successful organization of “RJ Hunt 2020”. She further said that Radio is a powerful tool that informs, transforms and unites us. It brings together people and communities from all backgrounds to faster positive dialogue for charge. She also encouraged the students of the college to learn the broadcasting techniques so that they can excel in this field professionally.
Jagjit Singh of Khalsa College won 1st position in Inter college RJ Hunt. Raghav from DAV University stood Second  & Pawleen Singh from APJ College  stood third in the competition. In the RJ Hunt amongst student of the college Surbhi Tandon got first position, Sheetal stood 2nd & Harvinder Kaur got 3rd position. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen congratulated the students. Winners were awarded trophies & certificates. On this occasion HOD Mrs. Rama Sharma, Mrs. Jyoti Sehgal, Ms. Ishu, Mr. Shailendra Kumar were also present.
